Forge ("the App") is a voice journaling application. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Voice Recordings

• Audio recordings are processed for transcription
• Recordings are sent to our transcription service, processed, and immediately deleted from our servers
• We do not store your audio files

Journal Entries

• Transcribed text is stored locally on your device
• Entries are NOT uploaded to any server
• Your journal content never leaves your device unless you export it

Usage Data

• We may collect anonymous usage statistics (app opens, feature usage)
• This data contains no personal information
• Used only to improve the app

Account Information

• If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple
• We do not see or store your payment details
• We may receive a transaction ID from Apple for subscription management

Data Storage

All journal entries are stored locally on your device using secure storage. We do not have access to your entries. If you delete the app, your entries are permanently deleted.

Third-Party Services

Transcription Service

Voice recordings are sent to our transcription provider for speech-to-text conversion. Audio is processed in real-time and not stored.

Apple (for subscriptions)

If you subscribe, Apple processes your payment. See Apple's privacy policy for details.

Your Rights

• Access: Your data is on your device. You can view it anytime.
• Export: Use the export feature to save entries.
• Delete: Delete individual entries or uninstall the app to remove all data.

Children's Privacy

Forge is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

• Entries are stored in secure local storage
• Optional passcode/biometric lock protects app access
• Voice data is transmitted securely (HTTPS)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
